VICENZAORO January, positive results for the first edition organized by Italian Exhibition Group Spa

The new chapter of VICENZAORO began with positive results for the January 2017 edition. VICENZAORO January confirmed its role as a reference point for the gold and jewellery community worldwide, encouraging exhibitors and buyers to trust in the prospects that the new year is offering.

During the 6 days of VICENZAORO January 1,500 brands from all the main Italian gold districts and 36 different countries took part at the Show, recording a sell-out of exhibition space in the 9 halls covering 29,000 m² of exhibition area,subdivided into the 6 districts of the tried and tested VICENZAORO The Boutique Show format: ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE, EVOLUTION.

 

The latter district hosted T-GOLD, the indisputable Show of reference for the international gold and jewellery processing machinery and technology sector which saw 134 brands from 13 countries displaying their products, thus confirming VICENZAORO's great attention to a division that is of such strategic importance for innovation and one in which Italy is a world leader.  

 

On the Incoming front, VOJ introduced an important hospitality programme for 500 profiled foreign buyers from the main markets of reference thanks to active support from the Ministry of Economic Development operating through ICE (Agency for the promotion and internationalization of Italian companies abroad). In addition to these, a further 800 Gold Buyers, representing the best of international demand, were also selected and invited, to whom VICENZAORO offered a series of "tailor-made" services to favour their business opportunities.

 

The VICENZAORO brand is part of the elite group of top Made in Italy product events, that are selected and supported by the Italian Government as a privileged platform for the International development of the production systems, within which it operates.

 

The jewellery industry therefore sees Italian Exhibition Group Spa, Italy's leading player in Italy and one of the top in Europe, as a new interlocutor that, as this first VICENZAORO goes to prove, has already been well able to valorise and strengthen the format in terms of the quality of the services offered, the business network created, international buyer scouting and all the specific events held to further explore trends, technologies and changes in production and retail.

Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards 2017: the best of international jewellery awarded on the VICENZAORO January 2017 stage

Yesterday evening, 20th January, the Opening Event of the international gold and jewellery Show witnessed the Jewellery Oscar Ceremony in the presence of a first-class Jury and international guests.

Yesterday, the evening opening event of VICENZAORO January 2017 included the Prize-giving Ceremony for the fifth edition of the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards. The ceremony saw the best of luxury and top players of world jewellery awarded for excelling in creativity, design, production, distribution, retail, communication, new media, career and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Awarding the Winners, was an exclusive Jury made up of the most illustrious gold and jewellery ambassadors including Franco Cologni, President both of the Jury and of the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, Clare Phillips, Curator of the Department of Sculpture, Iron, glass and ceramic crafts at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at Milan Polytechnic, Silvana Annichiarico, Director of the Triennale Design Museum

The winners of this fifth edition, subdivided according to the competition categories, are:

  6. THE BEST JEWELLERY COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN - Cartier for the Diamonds campaign
  7. JEWELLERY CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AWARD - Chopard for its efforts in the project with  Eco-Age
  8. THE BEST JEWELLERY COMMUNICATION NEW MEDIA- Nervous System

The Jewellery Corporate Social Responsibility Award was presented to Chopard by guest of honour, Livia Firth, the International Ambassador for Oxfam. Once again, the “Jewellery Oscars” confirm Vicenza, the City of Palladio, as the World Capital of Jewellery and Italian Exhibition Group as the international gold and jewellery innovation hub.
